Nexfibre

I was wondering if anybody had any feedback on the Virgin service provided over a Nexfibre installation?

Namely is it still subject to all of the commonly reported VM problems such as latency / slowdowns etc?

I thought I read that nexfibre was only internet ; so if you want TV then it’s streaming such as Virgin Stream or Sky Stream or Netflix etc.

Nexfibre isn’t deploying RFOG.

I’m still waiting on it being built in my area but I’ve a feeling it’s too early to really know how it will perform.

Any area with Nexfibre will have relatively low take up vs network capacity.

Latency considerably better as not DoCSIS, no slowdowns at peak periods as not DoCSIS and no access network congestion. Latency not quite a match for many ISPs due to how VM's network is built but better than the regular cable network. Only vulnerable to core network issues on the VM side.
