Heavy USage ISP

[link to this post]

Apart from Sky LLU and Bulldog on ADSL, Virgin Media on Cable, are there ANY ISPs who accept heavier users on BT sourced ADSL? Wife has been looking at houses that take us away from an LLU area into the Boonies where there is no cable and only BT-sourced ADSL.... am I doomed to never watching an episode of Rome Season 2 again?

Depends on what you consider heavy.

Entanet resellers offer a very high off peak limit on some products.

Yeah but entanet and their resellers interpret peak times from 8am to 10pm!

That's because Entanet are a, largely, business provider and don't want a load of "I want unlimited full speed everything for

I too am looking for an ISP for heavier use, I just had a letter from Pipex telling me my usage is too high. I'm currently involved in Beta tests of some MMO's and obviously have to download the clients. A few months ago I had to download a 17GB client for Vanguard(I know the beta is now over). So anyway, I really want to pay the frankly high prices Pipex charge while not being able to use my connection for what I need. I had considered moving to Sky broadband connect as even though I'd be capped at least it would be cheap, until I could get on their LLU service. However people seem to think they suck, is this the general feeling among most users? I wouldn't mind paying more than I pay now for a truely unlimited service, preferably up to around 8Mb. Any recommenations greatly appeciated.

I'm on sky and the only way they suck is that the router they provide loses sync on a regular basis (almost daily, evening time) so you need to reboot the router. other than that they're fine for a cheap high speed internet. . .
