Hello all,
Well, after spending just over two years with MetroNet (my first and so far only broadband provider), I've decided to request a MAC and move on. They were a fine service as far as I noticed, but our household's usage and requirements outgrew the highest service, and to be honest, as it's all I've known, it's hard to judge objectively if this is your whole broadband experience to date...
So... I really could do with some advice... I've never migrated before, and would really be appreciative of some advice. I've done a little research, and checked around the forums. Two services really appeal - IDNet and Newnet both seem to cover what we need and seem to have some excellent feedback - are they both as good as they sound? If they are, I'm going to have some trouble choosing... is there anything that sets one above the other?
Also, a migration question which I hope isn't too off-topic: after giving a MAC to a new service, is there usually any router configuration required when the switch happens? If so, are there any details I need to print off in advance in case I can't connect anymore?
Sorry for such a lacklustre post, but it's my first. Thanks for any help you can give!
