Hi folks,
on Friday I spoke to a Zen technical support guy and requested that they turned the Interleaving on my line off. I recently replaced my router, which started dropping the connection and locking up repeatedly - this is what I believe caused interleaving to be turned on, as prior to this I'd always been on FastPath and syncing at 8128. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have a problem with interleaving (I know it adds the 'safety net' of error correction to the connection), but since it's been enabled I've noticed ping latency problems (with IRC, Internet Gaming etc.), which I'm told can sometimes arise when it's on.
Anyway, my modem (Linksys AM200) displays the DSL path, so I'm hoping it will tell me when it's changed (and interleaving is removed) but I'm just wondering whether I need to reboot my modem in order for it to see the change, or whether it should automatically pick it up? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Marc.
