Could be a lot worse, Uncharted 4 for instance has been delayed until 2016.

Yeah I thought it was strange that it wasn't up for pre loading on consoles when others that were due same time or later were, Now I know why.

I've been looking at this game while I wait for the new F1 game to be released to settle my craving of racing F1.

On the plus side it's nice to see a game being put back because it's not 100% ready, Hopefully when it is released it will be 100% finished with no game breaking bugs unlike a lot of games that are released.

You'll love it. It has all the features you wanted and got the hump for being missing in DC. We can have 4, 5, 6 way races etc. in private lobbies with 30 other AI cars added. Awesome!

The best fun we had in DriveClub was when everybody kicked out of a lobby and left me, Kila, wotty etc on our own. A proper laugh in simple hot hatches. smile

Only because i thought it would be a mighty fine experience and that there would be the ones on here as a group playing it which there isn't really besides yourself and Hop-along Cassidy that changes games like i change socks. wink

No i have finally come to the conclusion, stop buying games that look really nice if you don't like that type in the first place.

Im sticking with games that give me pleasure and I'm hoping Bloodbourne blows my socks of a week Friday unlike The Order 1886 that made me feel like i was completely duped and robbed of any Gaming Input.

I won't be tempted by Bloodbourne in the slightest. I have a pathological hatred of boss battles. I find them repetitive and irritating.

I've just finished Dying Light and the final was the most disappointing part of what was essentially a brilliant game. I won't say why I hated it because many may not have finished as of yet.

I have already pre ordered the PS4 version so I'll be able to play it anyway. I would definitely appreciate your opinion if you buy it though, as I'm not in a rush to buy the PC version until later in the year. I'm still pretty much certain it will be a steam box, but the right one with a better processor should still be an option if you don't think the 970m will cut it. If your 970 does ultra without a texture downgrade, that will probably be acceptable to me instead of worrying about 4k. I'm sure there will be a 970 desktop option on one of them.

I simply never get the spare time to be building my own PC. I also
like the 3 year warranty and the exclusion of Windows on the Steam Box.

Bloodbourne is not just about boss fights its the same mould as demons souls and that was probably one of the toughest games and challenges on the planet.

This playstation exclusive has the potential to hit very high marks very much like the disappointing The order.

But i feel this game will be a wonderful edition to the playstation 4 library and this game will get high marks and praise unlike The Order.

It also has the potential to be one of the best games this year on the playstation 4.

Performance specs here for any pc guys who are interested.

So 4k at 30 fps (just about) if you have a 780Ti. I could probably live with 1080p in triple screen instead to be honest, looking at comparative monitor prices. It's interesting to see how little difference there is from adding MSAA at 4k though, only four or five fps.

interesting, those tests show that the published recommended and min specs are completely wrong.

Their recommended spec will give you 30fps at 1080p on a highish end 600 series card. The mid end 600 series card wont manage that. "600 series card" is a way too vague specification.

Yes it does, but it also has private and co op matches. Most importantly it also has co op championships, which is awesome.

I want know if you can have more than one championship save though, so you only need to play the next round if your buddies are on, otherwise carry on with your single player championship?

I must have played online about 3 times in the last month. Just been too busy and hence tired!

I played DC for the last time about a week or so ago and I've deliberately not bought the latest car packs as I knew Project Cars was about to land. Wanted to keep away from the steering wheel, as you get used to the Force feedback settings and I know they will change (and become more accurate) with Project Cars. So a clean start with it hopefully.

DC is still a great driving game, but I found myself completely disinterested in anything other than a couple of the race circuits. To me, driving games are about memorising the circuit and shaving tenths off of lap times. Not made up "canyon runs" etc.

Well hopefully i can get into this a little bit more and not be totally frustrated with the 5 /6 weeks of constant online issues associated with Drive Club.

Its not my favourite genre by a long shot, but when its dependant on a stable online network and its totally broken that doesn't help matters and it quickly becomes tedious and boring.

Re: Project Cars,Im going to get Ridiculed for this ?

[re: jorkila] [link to this post]

Arrived today played it for 15 minutes and got bored already ..Nuff Said on the subject of driving games,i said after Drive Club never ever will i buy another but i obviously haven't learnt.

The amount of options and depth in the menu is staggering but it all just bores the pants of me,i briefly started to play the career mode and i just didn't like it one iota,in fact with the sun rays shining in my face i found it almost impossible to see where i was going.

Im sure many will love it but this has to be the very last time i purchase a game of this type or any sports game/sim for that matter.

A game has to grip me from the start,i have to feel like I'm somewhat enjoying the experience and i just don't get it with these type of games.Period.

Swanny will rip me to shreds and so will Jorkila, but I'm open and honest and I'm not learning as the draw for any half decent new game pulls me in time and time again but sadly the experience of some excitement lasts only a few minutes before i start playing the games in question.

Its difficult to rip a game to shreds in a matter of minutes, but just like Drive Club i don't even want to play it again as it offers me nothing.

And sadly from the brief about i spent with Project Cars i actually think drive club is the better game and i dislike that with a passion.

For anybody that's interested, this is a proper sim and looks great on the PS4. I've spent a couple of evenings at our local sim driving centre with the triple screen set ups, on rFactor. They were great.

This is better by far, even in single screen. It needs a proper force feedback wheel to do it justice though.

First attempt with controller.

Second attempt with T300RS wheel.

My first attempt was with the controller and I was trying to use the wheel, but it hadn't detected properly! It still isn't working properly and needs powering on/off to get it to detect properly, but that's either Thrustmaster firmware or a faulty wheel, not the game I think.

But there is no debate to be had Magoo. This is a bonafide racing simulator. Those used to Need For Speed type games need not apply.....they will embarrass themselves. tongue

Watch my later Escort RS1600 video and the Clio Cup video. It looks easy in the replays, but it ain't. And that's what's so good about proper racing sims. Sorts us old men out from the boys. wink

Horses for courses my friend just like you with the Game of the year Bloodborne, you gave up pretty quickly with frustration and thats exactly how i feel with this Project Cars and i just hate the way the game handles and i haven't got the time or patience to even bother with it.

Watching videos of the game is boring, playing it even more so tongue,so you get back up the corner of your room with your steering wheel contraption and enjoy yourself and i will play games that give me a thrill and driving games obviously don't do that regardless of looks.

I had more fun with Sega Rally on the dreamcast about 15 years ago and still to this day its not been bettered .

Crazy Taxi is about where i am with this sort of game,at least it was witty and fun.dedicated Driving sims are not for me.

I wish i had the patience to persevere with it mate and wished i actually liked these sort of games,i like arcade type racers if anything and these are way over my head.

Its got massive potential and I'm not literally going to tear it to shreds as many will adore the game in its own right.

Its a massive mistake i made purchasing it,and one day i may realise whatever it looks like its just not worth wasting my time and money on games i don't enjoy playing.

Im tempted to give it another play through before it ends up traded Monday, just to see if i can play it for more than a few minutes before it totally frustrates and bores me to death.

The trouble most casual racers will have is not being able to set the controls/cars up to make them drive-able, most of the cars that I've driven so far have needed some kind of tweaking but then you have the odd one that will go like stink and corner straight out of the box!!

Those are my type of cars but on the flip side to that it does feel good nailing lap times after you've set a car up that you couldn't even get round the first bend at your first attempt!!

It's a quality game there's no doubt about that and one I guarantee the likes of Nelly and myself maybe even Swanny will have hours and hours of fun/frustration playing wink

Its bagged and tagged and ready for trading first thing Monday morning, you want a quality game mate then purchase Bloodborne and don't get put of by Nelly and his views as he has the patience of a Gnat and hasn't given the game any chance or time, bit like me and Project Cars, difference is i personally hate Driving Games from the offset and Bloodborne in theory should be right up Nellys street.

Yes its a game that demands time, effort and patience of a saint, but this game rewards like no other and is a masterclass in Gaming design.

Im amazed you haven't bought it as without doubt this is the greatest Playstation 4 game to date.

Had to laugh last night i had a Microsoft text message saying thank you for your purchase, kind of panicked at first and thought i haven't bought nothing from Microsoft, but when looking it was Xbox live Gold account payment, thats a laugh i haven't played the Xbox One in Months and was another complete waste of time and money for a console that offers very little and basically has no Exclusive games worth owning.

There is a strong rumour that Gears trilogy is on its way to Xbox One this year and its been listed on some Gaming websites, when that day arrives the Xbox One will get so much use it will probably explode.

Playing Gears Horde mode online was probably the best online gaming experience i have ever had,so much so i sadly miss this on the 360 and on many occasions i have thought about buying another 360 just to play this game, but i have refrained from doing so because i know this has to come to Xbox One in a Redux Form like all the others.

After finding that the wheel worked fine on wotty's ps4, I did a firmware update on the PC, a database rebuild on the PS4 in safe mode, then deleted and reinstalled the game. Still didn't work. Tried Driveclub....worked fine.

Then I noticed that deleting and reinstalling the game and all of it's updates, had still left the online storage settings intact. So I deleted them and hey presto, fixed. Lost all of my career progress but at least the wheel isn't faulty!

I will report it to Slightly Mad Studios in case anybody else gets the same corruption issues, but the vid below shows what was actually happening. Please don't mistake it for Timey's driving. It's very similar...

It's because you're not immersed and probably watching on a small screen. Don't be fooled by the haters, this is an excellent sim. If you knacker a wishbone or shock for example, the steering wheel will snap to the left or right and stay there, dragging you to one side and making it hardwork to keep the wheel straight (on force feedback wheels at least).

The damage model is excellent. I should know. I keep clattering the barriers and knackering the steering lol! I spent ages yesterday trying to be back to the pits completely blinded by the bonnet smashed right up in front of the windscreen. I lock the lobby into interior view for everyone in my multilayer games. Levels the playing field. grin

All of which are already in Project Cars if you care to switch them on.

I have manual engine start turned off, but full performance degrading damage, failures, tyre wear and fuel depletion are all set to on. As I mentioned in an earlier post, breaking a shock absorber or drive shaft will see you limping to the pits. Force feedback simulates all these events incredibly realistically.

Driving back to the pits with a broken drive shaft on one side of the car, is a real arm workout in a BMW Z4 GT3, believe me. There are far too many Forza and Gran Turismo loyalists blabbing on forums about how bad this game handles without even playing it. Half of them probably aren't old enough to hold a driving license let alone lecture others on car handling.

If you like those things you should check it out.

I don't see the poking in turning everything way down. 1080 is more than enough for the average screen size. I would like the 4k capability for rendering across triple screens though.

But I'm only going off what I've read, such as 750Ti's struggling to get to 30 frames with 8 gig of ram on Project Cars.

I think Digital Foundary should stand accused of overstating the difference for the average set up. Most people just wouldn't notice the difference, particularly in racing games. If everybody had a 970 or 980, it might be less contentious, but they haven't.

They always say things like "When we look at effects however, the consoles struggle to keep up, with obvious and distracting screen tearing and a big hit on frame rates."

Then always follow up with something like, "Overall, the developers have done a fantastic job with the console version, showing just how far this new generation can be pushed." confused

Contradictory flannel.

The sooner they stop comparing the consoles with rigs that contain graphics cards that cost almost as much as the console itself, the sooner we will get far more objective reviews.

The only reason for me to get a PC is to achieve 1080 capability on 3 screens. That would be worth the investment for me.

In anticipation of your review, I checked out metacritic. Who should I find there, but Timey's Russian cousin.

I don't think he's too keen either...
My score is zero by simple reason: this game is absolutly useless for me and, I beleive, anybody has no reason to spent money for it. First of all we must mention simple fact: this game is NFS Shift 3. Differences with previous parts are insignificant. OK, there are some new cars and tracks, 2 or 3 of last are really new and good (the rest - the same as in all other games, and some good tracks lost). Buts its not the reason for owning it. Because to buy such product... its simply humiliatingly. Yes, physical model playable, although its not so easy to tell, became it better or worse in comp. with Shift 2 with all that "fine tuning". Picture eatable also, although it became even alittle worse, and these absolutly flat trees and objects now looks more strange. With all these the game could be quite good... but these ill for head people for the third time made the same thing: made mischief for their product in the same idiotic way. As I wrote just after Shift one release, situation with this is simiral to so: you taste somewhat unknown dish, you feel interesting taste nuances, ingredients looks to be of good quality and freshness, but in one moment you mark somewhat, from the one hand, strange, what you never met, but, on the other hand, somewhat quite known... and in the next momentr you with horror realize, that this special ingredient is nothing else than humans' or animals' excrements. You dont believe and try again... so, you run to lavatory.
Of course, I mean gameplay. These sillyies for the third time released idiotic hybrid of fine simulator and demolition derby. Really not so easy to believe, but its the fact. In all career-offline events AI cars not enough that goes by railway, dont brake at corners and dont try to avoid collisions. No, they just for purpose beat you in each corner, kicks, jumps, sometimes seems fly. And of course, you cannot to hit back, because you will turn around in a moment and, if damage enabled, even faster kill your car. Its simply impossible to imagine, what about they thought, making such "autosport simulator". For what all that "ultrarealistic" car handling, if as a result you find yourself in somewhat meat grinder, where nothing ressembles to sport... so, I have no more words. I tried career alittle, and there we see destructive idiotic elements, and if you not take part in scramble, all will be very boring.
So, we see tracks and cars, but NO GAME here. For comparison, in Race Driver Grid cars worse, tracks so-so, but its THE GAME. You will tell, that I can buy it for solo training and futher online playing with other players.... yes, I buy games first of all for it, but I really need somewhat warm-up in career. To feel deeply handling and tracks... in solo it would be too boring. And, you know... I just tried to play Nordschleife... but furious remembrances about shift playing there surged to me, and I became simply feel faint...
But there is another reason. It would be simply inhuman to keep guys in their madness with my money. They mad not "slightly", they really need doctor with electric shoker to return them to reality. Especially because they spent money, recieved from simpletons not for new game buiding (it remains the same shift, as I mentioned), but for reviewers stimulation. Of course, looks like, they simply cannot to change anything in one time made pattern... I suspect, somebody joked upon them, palming off this strange hybrid composition and resting them with it forever. But now they, looks like, comed to believe, that they produce really good game. Let others support this their fatal error, but I dont want my money works for aggravating of condition of these miserable ill people.

PC, also the PC version was a lot cheaper as well.

I ordered the physical copy due to price also almost £15 cheaper than steam.

I then found out steam had 5 exclusive cars, and there was another 3 exclusive cars for pre ordering, however amazon were advertising they were still giving out pre order codes, currently I am in dispute with them to get the code.

I registered the game on steam hoping to get the 5 cars, but looks like that didnt work, I guess I would have had to pay the premium steam price to get them, but whats funny is if I try to order the digital version on steam it says I already own it.

I noticed on the xbox people can upgrade to this limited edition to get the cars so its a DLC, but not on steam.

PS4 £48
Xbox one £39.85
PC Retail £28.85 (I paid £24, so its gone up in price)
PC Steam £39.99

I paid £44.99 for the digital ps4 version which came with the additional content.

You could have gotten a steam key from here for £22.99.

never heard of that site, is it legit they selling those keys for almost half price?

Amazon are going to give me the DLC key, after I Sent them the screenshot showing pre order keys are included.

I guess for the steam exclusive content I will have to wait for them to start selling it as an upgrade. No point contacting steam, their support is horrible.

As for the game itself, it is decent in my opinon. Alot better than grid autosport which I got some months back.

I shall talk only about games i enjoy personally and this isn't one of them.

Don't really understand why you would even worry about it been the only active thread, the gaming forum dead quiet for 12 months of the year and there are only a handful of posters that actually post here,Jaxx has disappeared of the face of the planet again, besides yourself,Nelly,Jorkila, and Chysalis and Myself who actually else uses it.

And remember i have a multitude of games and options and not just one or two I'm stuck with tongue

Hey mate if it rocks your boat at the end of the day thats all that matters wink

Its difficult to even get slightly excited about a Genre i have never much cared for in all my Gaming years.

So to put that into prospective, this game was on a loser the minute i took the stupid decision to buy it.

I'm now going to download a arcade game from PSN called Ultratron which i will have far more fun with.

cant say I am surprised, they probably thought it better to use a resolution that the console cannot handle instead of a smooth frame rate. Witcher 3 devs talking about dynamic resolution on the xbox1 version of their game which I suspect means they will be pushing the xbox1 right to its limits also.

Whats funny is the devs told PC AMD users that it runs fine on the xbox1. smile

The only issues I've seen are "pop out" of trees etc in the wing mirrors, and a slight stutter at times on some of the replays in TV cam mode.

Other than that it looks and runs great on the PS4, but I never expected it to be perfect. The cars look great and that's the only thing you're concentrating on at speed.

There was more than enough vegetation in Timey's clip for me!

I do think I noticed him trotting through a little bit of the scenery there though to be fair, but nothing game breaking. Depends how much of that there is on release to be honest, but I think it looks great in Timey's clip. I'll still probably give the Witcher 3 a miss for now though.

My ps4 is for ps4 exclusives since some publishers stubbornly only release for the sony platform.

I will buy the next kingdom hearts game (Sony exclusive)
FF15 (no announced PC release) although FF15 seems a dissapointing based on the demo.
I already have FF type 0.

Other possible future exclusives.

and of course I look for problems, I dont give game developers an easy ride with the amount they charge for each game and DLC.

Bit of a waste of money if you ask me,you could have bought yourself a brand new graphics card for your PC for the same money.

As for exclusives then you should have bought Bloodborne which i don't think you have or Infamous second son.

Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U will have there exclusives also so its not a Sony exclusive club only here.

The frame rate issues are caused by the poor speeds of the internal HDD. Try installing to a USB 3.0 external HDD and watch the FPS stay at a smooth 55-60FPS.

Lets hope when eventually Nintendo release there new console it has power and not the motion controlled gimmick and huge tablet sized controller that has the most dismal battery life i have ever witnessed in a electrical gadget.

It seems only Nintendo supports there machine as 3rd party developers just don't bring there games to the Under/powered Nintendo System that was a mistake day 1
